Fixer-Upper

Found my dream home! I've always been interested in this run-down club (once also a cinema!), and lately I noticed it's on the market:

...at £850,000. Is that what a wrecked old club in Clapton costs these days? Who'd have thought it. Would probably be more like £1m once I've made it habitable. A good reason to start buying lottery tickets, anyway.

Skelly Photo

Spent the sunrise this morning trying to take the perfect photo of my rubbery skeleton. Possibly an ongoing project.

Black And White

Bit of a cheap trick, using monochrome to add instant gravitas to otherwise middle of the road photos, but that's where I am at the moment so suck it.

J Smith Esquire - The Gentleman's Antler Hat

This is truly amazing:

A gentleman's antler bowler hat! Actually I'm sure it's not a bowler, I shouldn't really be mislabelling hats from boutique milliners, of all people. Anyway, what would the girl on this gentleman's arm be wearing, I hear you ask? Why this of course:

Go and have a look at the rest of J Smith Esquire's collections - pure brilliance.

Atsuko Kudo - Wonder Cup Puff Sleeve Catsuit

I would actually really really like one of these. Weight loss tips and donations gratefully accepted. In the meantime, I will figure out what kind of shirt I could wear over it to render it suitable for regular evenings out.

Brad Walsh's Knockers

Been cooing over these all morning. (And over cats on gumtree, but that's another story...) I want to stick one on a really long chain, even though I don't wear pendants. Anyway here's Brad Walsh's Etsy shop, he has nice turquoise glass ones too (among others) but what I really want is a turquoise version of the ones above. It looks like you can from his top picture but apparently not.

("More Money Please" isn't that appropriate a tag, I know, but I just lost my job so budgets have had to be cut *sob*)

James Ryang

This guy is right up my street. I wanna go out taking photos!! Shiz I don't know if I'll have time to take a few round my Dalston estate before I move house on Friday. Bummer. Oh well, it's not like I'm not moving to a different dodgy part of east london. Anyway James Ryang is supercool:

Dior Joaillerie: Victoire de Castellane's Ghost Skulls

Wowee! Can't seem to find a proper page for these or how to buy them... Although I'm not sure why that concerns me, since a glance at Dior's other joaillerie confirms that it is well out of my price range. Still though. I would like the one on the far right please.

Christoph Niemann's Arty Bathrooms

This is a brilliant idea. Christoph Niemann wanted to turn some famous artwork into a mosaic for his Berlin bathroom. This is what he finally came up with:

Full story (with lots of other good mosaic versions of artworks) here. Also he made his kids' bathroom into a mosaic subway map - love it!

That "Yes" looks like it's the same shop in Brian Ulrich's Dark Stores project that I posted a month or two ago.

I sort of shouldn't be looking at these because they're way above my station, and although that sounds silly I've recently been trying to coax myself into aiming higher... And for that I need stuff that I can look at and think, "if I tried really hard I might be able to get something as good as that." Photos like this? Ha! Lost cause. Gorgeous though.

(I know everything I've said above is stupid and not how you should think about things - also I don't want to imply that everything else I've posted here is stuff I feel I could do. Just feeling funny today.)
