Winter Wardrobe: Half Gloves

So I was watching GG the other night, the one with Little J's debutante ball, and I noticed her sporting some stupid half gloves. I made the mistake of mentioning this to people as well ("Ugh, she's such a knob")... Now what do I spot on eBay and immediately start lusting after? Half gloves. Probably fingerless. LOOK AT THEM!
        Also on my to-do list is making a jersey fabric neck-warmer, like a soft tubular shawl. Practical! I spotted them in Dorothy Perkins and was annoyed with myself for not thinking of it first. I had a knitted one that I always wore a couple of winters ago, but this version will be more comfy and more stylish, I recks.

So I guess I'm pretty late to this, but Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan, huh?! I don't know how I missed it, I'm up to date on all the other Gossip Girl pairings. This one makes me incredibly happy though. I always knew he was hot, even when nobody agreed. I feel like this is vindication. And good for her! She gets the hottest guy, and she gets to make out with Chuck Bass without having to take Ed Westwick home. Cos let's face it - while Chuck Bass is a smouldering hunk of daddy issues, Ed Westwick is a WANKER.
        Everybody's hot on GG but this has to be the ultimate pairing, non? Blake Lively and wotsisface are hot, yeah, but they lose major points for their characters' lameness - yawn. These two rule with an iron fist.

Bit blurry, my phone's a bit shit at taking photos of photos. But I'd be kinda happy if I got a full set of ones like that. Hoping and wishing that this film that I'm going through now, surely, will be the one where I get into my stride - but realistically I think it's going to take a lot longer. (But secretly expecting to be pleasantly surprised.) We'll see, anyway, ought to get out and about more and take the camera with me. I hardly left the house at all last weekend.

I think I've finally put a film in my Praktica that hasn't rolled itself back up (happened with two films... I nearly wept), so hopefully I should have some half-decent ones coming off that soon. Although let's be fair, there were two 36 films that didn't roll up and I got approximately 4 good(ish) shots out of it. Turns out I may still have a way to go.

I've seen a few photo-realistic paintings recently, I guess this is on the cusp of photorealistic and not, still pretty amazing though. Sort of halfway between Franz Gertsch and the Ladybird book illustrations.

Skinny Leather Trousers

Given that I have gold, silver, cobalt blue, and black satin trousers tucked away in various drawers at home (and largely forgotten about, I am ashamed to admit. In fact I once spent a couple of hours trawling the shops looking for shiny black trousers, before returning home and discovering I had a pair. In fact two, if you count leggings) - considering all this, you would not think that I am particularly in need of more 'statement trousers'. But you would think wrong, as seen in the post below, and now this - I need some skinny leather trousers. Because really, it doesn't matter how many pairs of trousers you have: if you haven't got leather trousers then you haven't got leather trousers. There is no substitute. Especially not for these babies:

Yowza! So hot. The problem with leather trousers is that you have to spend a fair bit to get the right fit. Also to avoid the seam at the knee where they've sewn the bottom leg part on. Yuk. Although having said that, these Herrlicher ones are only £80. That's less than you might pay for a leather jacket. (Might. I paid £50 for mine, and only cos it had a hood.)

God I really need to find myself an approximation of those Chloe boots. Please God! I probably need to be clever about it and make them out of stuff I already have, somehow. Which I think I could do actually but it wouldn't be wedgey. And I do want them wedgey. Else it's not the same, is it? Basically I want them for daytime heels, that you could wear to the park if you wanted, and you can't wear anything but wedges to the park. Clearly.

Which is pretty awesome as it is, but still going for £86 with five days left on the auction too! In fact if I could get that second one in white, I'd be over the moon, but I can't see it really. The search continues...
